On Instagram you can find lots of pictures by collectors, interior designers and design magazines with the works of Massimo Vitali.
It seems like there is a specific feeling connected to this vision.

To look at the photographs in the studio, on the computer screen or in a gallery puts you in a special relationship with the photographer’s eye. To see them hanging in a room with furnitures, in a kitchen, above a sofa or next to a table it seems completely different.

The work of art enters ordinary life, someone’s personal space and taste and, whether it is in a good or bad context, the photograph becomes a decorative object. However, if in the past paintings were made upon commission, thought for a specific place and hanging on the walls with many other art works, why should it feel bizarre to see Massimo’s work in a domestic context?
