Last week I spent three days in the marble quarries next to Seravezza and Stazzema on the Apuan Alps, near the Mediterranean Sea.

I was shooting for WallPaper* Magazine and the Henraux Foundation allowed us to use their quarries as a set. The first day we were at Cava Cervaiole-Monte Altissimo where marble is still extracted, and so we were working next to bulldozers and had lunch in the canteen with the Henraux workers.

The second day we moved to an abandoned quarry called Cava della Tagliata, very sunny and windy, surrounded by mountains. Here, my friend Joseph Schwaebe took some videos with his drone. It was really an amazing place to shoot!
